Golden State have beaten Atlanta four times in 2026, and the last three of them by three, five and four points. Game 2 of the Finals is tonight at eight at Chase Center, with the Dream a game down.
Game 2 of the Finals is tonight at eight o'clock at Chase Center, the Dream are the away club, and Golden State lead the series one game to none. It comes to State Farm Arena on Wednesday.
Golden State have now beaten Atlanta four times in 2026, three in the regular season and once on Saturday, and Simone has what the Game 1 box score actually says. The part sitting underneath her count is the margins: 11 points, then three, five and four. One club keeps winning and it keeps being close. That is an orientation, not a forecast.
Falcons
Chicago Bears 31, Atlanta Falcons 23, and Miles has the two arguments worth having about it: Atlanta's defensive calls did not change hands on Sunday, and Bijan Robinson had no touches on either fourth-quarter scoring drive. Read them in that order.
One thing happened yesterday that neither piece is about. The home sample closed. Miles's number last week was 32 points a game allowed at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, and that was a two-game window -- 64 points, divided by two. Chicago scored 31, which is almost exactly what the first two visitors averaged, so the window became a three-game sample and the figure moved to 31.7. Three home games is still only three home games. The number just stopped being a two-game number.
On this morning's standings read Atlanta hold the ninth seed in the NFC. Saturday night the same feed had them 10th. It moved while they lost, the tiebreaker fields that feed publishes came back empty, and nobody here can tell you why. The field seats seven, and Seattle sit eighth.
San Francisco come to Mercedes-Benz Stadium at one o'clock on Sunday, the third straight home game in that building. They also play tonight, at home, against Washington at 8:15. Six days between kickoffs.
Hawks
Atlanta open Wednesday at Orlando -- Kia Center, seven o'clock -- and both clubs are 0-0. The interesting thing about this team is what the people paid to forecast it cannot agree on.
Sports Illustrated had them seventh in the East in late July, at 40 to 45 wins, fighting through the play-in and getting out of it. NBA.com's Shaun Powell wrote on September 14 that "This team could win 50 games or be forced to go through the SoFi Play-In Tournament," and named his swing factor: a lack of quality big men.
Set the two of them against what has already happened. Atlanta won 46 games last season and were the East's No. 6 seed. The argued range runs 40 to 50, which puts every one of those forecasts within six wins of what this roster already did, and two of them in the seed it already held. The disagreement is not about who the Hawks are. It is about whether a 46-win team got better or worse over the summer -- and the newest national answer Tilt can read in full is five weeks old.
Powell's own swing factor has one number available, and it is only a count: of the 18 players on Atlanta's roster this morning, two carry a center's label, and one of those two, Henri Veesaar, is out for the season with a torn ACL. Mouhamed Gueye is the other name on the injury list, day-to-day with a foot.
Braves
The 40-man roster is full. Forty players hold active status on it, and five more are standing just outside it on the 60-day injured list -- all five of them pitchers, Spencer Strider and Spencer Schwellenbach among them. MLB's own glossary calls that removal temporary. Forty names in, five arms out, and nobody has asked yet where they go.
Nothing on the calendar answers it. Club options, qualifying offers and the opening of free agency are all counted forward in days from the end of the World Series, and the World Series has not started. Game 1 is Friday in Milwaukee, and the away club on the schedule is still listed as TB/CLE, because Tampa Bay lead Cleveland three games to two and play Game 6 tonight. December 1 at 11:59 p.m. is the only date on Atlanta's winter that is not relative to something that has not happened.
Ellis opened this winter on the transaction wire, and the wire has a shape now. October 8 carried 14 entries in a single day, 12 activations and two recalls, every one of them the organization taking its own players back. Then one designation, one selection, two outrights -- and four days of nothing.
Atlanta United
Tito has the requirement, and it is the most precise bad news on the site this morning: four matches left, six Eastern clubs already past the best Atlanta can finish on, and the rest of it in other clubs' hands.
What is left after that is the week itself. Atlanta do not play again until Saturday, five days from this morning, when Chicago Fire come to Mercedes-Benz Stadium at 7:30. Both clubs have played 30 matches. Chicago have 48 points and Atlanta have 30. Same number of matchdays, 18 points apart, and the visitors are already inside the field. That is the season, without the table.
One more thing.
Five Atlanta clubs, one Monday morning, five different states of a season. The Dream play a Finals game tonight. The Hawks open one in two days. Atlanta United have four matches left and five days before the next of them. The Braves' wire has printed nothing for four days, and the clock that would give those four days a meaning cannot start until a World Series that begins on Friday has finished. The Falcons are 2-4 on the season with a kickoff next Sunday.
No one sentence covers all five, which is the unusual part of it. Four of them are waiting on a calendar. One of them is waiting on tonight.
The Tilt
Every forecast of this Hawks team lands within six wins of what they already did.

Nobody in Atlanta plays today, and it is the last day this week on which nothing is settled. Friday decides a Cup group game, Saturday a season, and Sunday a home game four thousand miles from home.

Almost everything on Atlanta's board this morning is an estimate - a hip, an ankle, a hamstring, a table position. The exception is a Gold Glove won by a man who filed for free agency three days before it was announced.

There is no NBA game anywhere tonight. Then Atlanta's week arrives all at once — Washington twice inside three days, two fixtures on Saturday, Madrid on Sunday.
